Abstract

 

ABSRACT

The main objectives of research entitled the Sangha Administration  Effectiveness of Sangha Administrators in Pakchong District Nakornrajchasima   Provincewere:  1) to study the level of Sangha administration effectiveness of Sangha administrators in Pakchong District, Nakornrajchasima Province;  2) to compare  the level of Sangha administration effectiveness of Sangha administrators in Pakchong District, Nakornrajchasima Province, classified by personal factora; and  3 ) to present  the  suggestions for improvement of Sangha  administration  effectiveness of  Sangha  administrators in Pakchong District Nakornrajchasima Province. The survey  research was conducted in this study. The sample consisted of Sangha administrators in  Pakchong District, Nakornrajchasima Province. The tools used for data collection were questionnaire and interview schedule. The statistics used for data analysis were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and analysis ANOVA (One way analysis of variance).

The  results  of  this  research  revealed  that:

1.The overall levels of Sangha administration effectiveness of Sangha administrators in Pakchong District Nakornrajchasima Province, were found at the high livel. When considered in each aspect, it was noticed at the high levels in all aspects with means ranking from the most to the least as follows: 1) Social Welfares,           2) Public Utility, 3) Administration, 4) Sangha Education, 5) Educational Welfare, and 6) Propagation of Buddhism, respectively.

2. With regard to comparison of the level of Sangha administration  effectiveness of Sangha administrators in Pakchong District Nakornrajchasima  Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that personal factors such as age, year of ordination, and position, level of general education, level of Dhamma studies, and Pali studies, were not statistically significant difference, so the relevant hypotheses set forth could be rejected.

3. Suggestions for improvement of Sangha  administration  effectiveness of Sangha administrators in Pakchong District Nakornrajchasima Province, were presented as follows: 1) in administrative aspect , efficient monks should be supported to righteously administer the temple and take care of all monks and novices living in the temple, there should punishment for those who broke the rules and the regular meeting should be conducted for improvement;  2) in Sangha education, Dhamma,Pali and Dhamma and Vinaya studies should be promoted and all monks and novices should be encouraged to study; 3) in educational welfare ,educational fund should be founded for higher education and education for children and youth should be conducted for the sake of inculcation of morality and ethics and Buddhism;  4) in propagation of Buddhism, new media and innovations should applied for propagation of Buddhism and opportunities for these should be given for those who have competencies to do;  5) in public utilities  there should establish the fund for making public utilities with the staffs and the works should be done quickly and Sangha properties should be managed rightly; and 6) in social welfare, the regular plan of social welfare should  be done, merit making places should be provided for the public and welfare places for the needed and aging persons such as hospital and aging house  should be constructed.
