Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

                      The main objectives of this thesis were: 1) to study administrative management based on Saraniyadhamma (the virtues for fraternal living) of the Khonkaen Sub-district Local Administration, Muang district, Roi-et province, 2) to do a comparative study of the administrative management based on Saraniyadhamma of the Khonkaen Sub-district Local Administration, Muang district, Roi-et province, according to opinion of the people by dividing the factors of the individual, 3) to study a process of administrative management based on Saraniyadhamma of the Khonkaen Sub-district Local Administration, Muang district, Roi-et province. However, this thesis was conducted based on mixed method research methodology. For the quantitative research, 367 people living in the area of Khonkaen sub-district, Muang district, Roi-et province were the sample in this study. The research instruments applied in this study were: questionnaire, analysis approach by Statistics Package for the Social Science (SPSS); furthermore, the statistics used in this study were: Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation (S.D.), t-test (Independent sample), f-test (One way ANOVA). And, for the qualitative approach, this study applied the In-Depth Interview and Key Informants for 5 samples together with Content Analysis.

 

 

                      The result of the study found that:

                      1. Most of the sample who answered the questionnaire were female, 186 or 51.5 %,

age between 18-30 were 118 or 32.2%, had achieved elementary education 84 or 25.6%, occupied as general employees 116, and had monthly income at 5,000 Baht 31.6%.

                      2. The people had opinion aboul the Khonkaen Sub-district Administrative

Organization in Muang District, Roi-et Province, at the whole at = 3.61 which resulted high scale from largest to smallest respectively: Mettakayakamma (to be amiable in deed, openly and in private), Mettavacikamma (to be amiable in word, openly and in private), Mettamanokamma (to be amiable in thought, openly and in private), Silasamabbata  (to keep without blemish the rules of conduct along with one’s fellows, openly and in private), Ditthisamabbata    (to be endowed with right views along with one’s fellows, openly and in private), and Sadharanabhogita (to share any lawful gains with virtuous fellows).

                      4. The Khonkaen Sub-district Administrative Organization in Muang District, Roi-et

Province, had the principles in administrative management based on Saraniyadhammacould be briefly elaborated as followed:

                                1) Mettamanokamma: to be amiable in thought, openly and in private, supported the people to live as a family, and served the people as one’s own family members.

                                2) Mettavacikamma: to be amiable in word, openly and in private, offering service with equal consideration.  

                                3) Mettamanokamma: to be amiable in thought, openly and in private, kept in mind that everyone was very important part of the Organization; therefore, respected  each other, be open minded, thought positively, and moved forward to better development based on the principle of unity.

                                4) Sadharanabhogita: to share any lawful gains with virtuous fellows, shared and helped the team members and that of the people when and where that were needed.

                                5) Silasamabbata: to keep without blemish the rules of conduct along with one’s

fellows, openly and in private.

                                6) Ditthisamabbata: to be endowed with right views along with one’s fellows,

openly and in private, respected the right of the other, the opinion of the most, and had the same principles and direction to move forward for better development.
