The Prariyattidham Schools Management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

           The objectives of this study were:  i) to study the Prariyattidham schools management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province, ii) to compare the opinion relating to the Prariyattidham schools management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province, classified by personal factors,  and  iii) to study the problem and suggestion regarding the Prariyattidham schools management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province. The survey research was carried out in this study. The research sample  consisted of 196 students studying in Prariyattidham Schools in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province. The tool used for data collection was the questionnaire with the value of reliability equal to 0. 917. The statistical techniques such as frequencies, percentage, average, standard deviation (S.D.) were employed  for data analysis. The analysis was also done through t-test for verifying the hypotheses in order to test the average difference between the two groups and one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) for testing the difference between the averages from three or more groups and for testing paired group, the Least Significant Difference (LSD) was conducted.

The findings of this research were concluded as follows:

         1) The overall level of opinion regarding the Prariyattidham schools management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province was found at the highest
( = 4.12). When considered into each aspect, it was ranked at the high levels in all aspects ranging from the most to the least as follows: curriculum administration
( = 4.23), learning management ( = 4.07) and measurement and evaluation
( = 4.00), respectively.

         2) With regard to comparison of opinion relating to the Prariyattidham schools management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that  age, years of ordination, level of general education, level of Dhamma Studies, level of Pali Studies and years of occupied position had no statistical significant differences even at .05 level of confidence, thus rejecting the formulated hypotheses.     

         3) For the problems, suggestions and guidelines relating to the Prariyattidham schools management in Tharue District, Ayutthaya Province, the study revealed that i) for curriculum administration, teachers should be provided the process for making Educational Manual as the guideline in learning and teaching management instead of using texts written by the Holiness Somdech Phramahasamanachao Kromphrayavajirayanavaroros and Phramaha Niyom Uttamo, schools lacked curriculum service supporting section such as multimedia rooms, Libralry, reading corners, provided for teachers and students;  ii) for learning and teaching management, school should not provide common learning class regardless of age, years of ordination so that it was difficult for learners  to study quickly; and  iii) for measurement and evaluation,  there were no various techniques of measurement and evaluation being conducted, so were the contents, depending upon the questions bank from large and famous schools.
