Abstract

 

This thesis aims to study the concept and establishment of Buddhist school, to study the teaching and learning activities according to Buddhist way of Ban Sapoong School, Muang Noi sub-district, Pasang district, Lamphun province, and to analyze the achievement of living life according to Buddhist way of Ban Sapoong School, Muang Noi sub-district, Pasang district, Lamphun province.  This study is mixed research with the qualitative research and quantitative research with studying documents and related research and having the field data collection by using questionnaire for opinion on living activities according to Buddhist way.            

These findings indicate that Buddhist School is a general school that takes the principles of Buddhism for applying in the management and overall development of learners of education place by focusing on the development framework of the integrated Threefold Training. Learners have learned to eat, live, see and listen through the cultural process, seeking wisdom and having cultural compassion is the foundation of life. Buddhist School is developed with using the principle of Threefold Training, including virtue, concentration and integrated wisdom. Learners have to learn through eating, living, seeing and listening by having wisdom to understand the true value that takes the cultural process to seek wisdom and having cultural compassion are based on living life by having administrators and teachers are good friends.

Ban Sapoong School has taken the project of Buddhist School as a guideline for teaching and learning with inserting the teachings of Buddhism, guidelines for their conduct, behave appropriately by taking the Threefold Training principles (virtue, concentration and wisdom) according to the principle of Buddhist school based on the development of learners by using Threefold Training principles, including virtue, concentration and wisdom. Learners have learned through the development of "eating, living, seeing and listening" it means the wisdom to understand the true value by using cultural processes to seek wisdom and a merciful culture are based on living life by having administrators and teachers are good friends and invite the monk morality teaching from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Chiang Mai Campus Lamphun Buddhist College for providing knowledge about learning Buddhism in order to the students to understand and apply to practice in daily life.  The achievement of living life according to the Buddhist way of the students at Ban Sapoong School is 4 aspects, including physical (body), virtue (social), mind (mental / emotional) and wisdom is good level from comments and suggestions of students, parents and teachers.  Impressions of attending the school's Buddhist activities is a good level, teachers in the school have a variety of Buddhist activities and achieve the objectives of the Buddhist teachings. Parents are satisfied with their behavior that is good level and should promote and develop the Buddhist Oriented Schools to develop and train the students to living life in accordance with the threefold training principles that are Buddhist principles continually.
