Abstract

The research on Buddhist Psychology Factors Generating Cognitive Processes in Buddhist Art comprises to Buddhist Psychology Factors Influencing Cognitive Processes in Buddhist Art

The purposes of this research are (1) to study the Concept of Buddhist Art,  Buddhist Principle and Buddhist psychology principle which related to Cognitive Processes. (2) ) to study Buddhist Psychology Factors Generating Cognitive Processes in Buddhist Art. (3) to present of Buddhist Psychology Factors Influencing Cognitive Processes in Buddhist Art. This is a qualitative research in nature. The researcher uses an in-depth interview from the key informants who are scholars, specialists in the Buddhist Art, academics in the fields of psychology and Buddhism and a focus group discussion. A content analysis and inductive analysis with the descriptive explanation are used for analyzing data.

The Result of Research was found as follows:

From a study the Concept of Buddhist Art, Buddhist Principle and Buddhist psychology principle which related to Cognitive Processes. Firstly, It found three purposive sampling to study the Concept of Buddhist Art that was comprised of Buddhist Mural Painting,  Buddhist Sculpture, Buddhist Religious Architecture. The three main methdologies of creatable Buddhist Art have been identified as Aesthetic, Semiology, and Buddhist Principle. Secoundly, Buddhist Principle had been found as a factor Generating Cognitive Processes that consisted of Another’ s Utterance and Reasoned Attention, Five Aggregates, Essential Doctrine, Knowledge, and Consciousness. Thiredly, Study in Cognitive Processes wrere found that it was indeed important to used Learning and perception theory of Gestalt Psychology.

Buddhist Psychology Factors Influencing Cognitive Processes by anlysis of  Five Aggregates was described that external sense-field againted internal sense-field was occurred perception. Both sense-fields produced consciousness to acknowledge emotions. From this stage continuous to perceptual process through wisdom process. When perception ocured then mental formations also were produced and felt happiness or sadness that was called sensation. Next to mental formations appear, a person wiil be able to thinking, speaking and perfroming both googness and badmess. Final of this processes influence wisdom that is the truly understanding base on the truth. Good Another’ s Utterance lead to faith then Reasoned Attention

also direct to faith. Reasoned Attention was a beginning of learning to develop wisdom.  When cognition was arrived, thinking to correctly solve the problem will be lead to diaapear the suffering.

Buddhist Psychology Factors Generating Cognitive Processes in Buddhist Art was presented by diagrame. The function of  diagrame was communicated by True Frined, Secular and Buddhist Art. Faithful Seculars learnt knowledge according to used Budddhist art as a tool to teaching Dhumma that intregrated with The Law of Organization of Gestalt Psychology. This stage transferred to Buddhist Psychology Factors Generating Cognitive Processes by anlysis of Five Aggregates to internal perception through Cognitive Processes at the end.
