The result of the application of the Buddhist Doctrinal principle to carrying out their lives by the old aged people in the Helping Premises. How to research conducted by investigating the Buddhist Tripitaka, books and related research. And field research conducted by interviewing the 38 old  aged  people who are in support of  the  Helping Premises.

From  the study of  the causes and  the states of problems faced by the old aged people,  it  is found  that the cause by which the old  aged people went  to receive  the support  in  the helping  premises was that  they had no one  to look after them, no place to live in  and  that they were not happy in living in their families. Moreover, they have the following  problems :-  (1) in bodily aspect, they were suffering  from  the osteoparosis, the paresis, the myopia, the hypertension and heart disease.  (2)  in mental aspect, they are experienced  in anxiety, depression  and inactivity.    ( 3 )  in social aspect, they  are in apathy,

conflict and competition for a better position.    (4 ) in economic and income aspect, it is found that most of the old aged people have no problems. They will have income from those who visited them or from their relations, sons, daughters and nephews. They also have  some  money  saved  before  going  to  stay  at  the  Helping  Premises.

From studying the Doctrinal principles regarding  the way of leading lives by the old aged people in the Buddhist scriptures, it is found that the Doctrinal principles supporting  the development and the solution of the problems about the bodies are of the three characteristics (Tilakkhana), Five Aggregates (Pañcakhandha) and the Four Noble Truths (Catu-Ariyasacca). The Doctrinal principles supporting the development and the solution of the mental  problems  are  the observing of the Five Precepts, the Threefold Training, Puññakiriyāvatthu and the development of Insight Meditation. The Doctrinal principles supporting the development  and  the solution  of  social  problems  in living together are the 8 Worldly Doctrines, the Four Divine States of Mind, the Four Bases of Social Solidarities, the Six Appreciative Actions, the Four Prejudices, the Forbearance and the Modesty. The Doctrinal principles supporting the development and the solution of the economical and income  problems  are  the  Four  Paths  of  Accomplishment, being  away from  the  path  of  ruins  and  the  formation  of  the  present  benefits.

From the study, it is found that most of the old aged people apply the principles of  Buddhadhamma  to  solving  their  life  problems  in  four  aspects, namely :-  (1) The physical problem from which it is found that they accept the truth that the aggregates deteriorate according to the age. They believe in the laws of action,  They have  forbearance, accept  their own  situations  and  are  free  from  attachment.   (2 )  The mental  problems  from which it  is found that the old aged  people will lead  their lives  by making merits.  They observe the Five Precepts and develop the Insight Meditation.   (3)  The social problems in living together from which it is found  that they know how to associate with the good friends, have loving kindness and  compassion to one another, know how to be indifferent, to have forbearance, to stop anger and greed.   (4 )  The economical and income problems  from which it is found  that they lead their lives by way of knowing themselves, not  being  careless, stopping the causes  of  ruin.
